Ujjayi Pranayama And Deep Breath

by Anthony Joseph
(Marbella, Malaga, Spain)

After doing a set of Ujjayi pranayama, is it ok to take a deep breath? Thank you.

Answer

Initially when you are learning ujjayi breath, you may take a deep breath after completing one round of ujjayi breath. Also, if you do not know the technique of Jalandhar bandha you can do ujjayi pranayama without doing Jalandhar bandha.

With enough practice complete at least ten rounds of ujjayi breath one after another without taking a deep breath in between.

Hope this helps.

Warm regards
Daljit
