Please let me know is it okay to breathe while doing Sirshasana or else have to hold the breath ? And also let me know how long I will have to be in this pose to get the maximum benefit ?
Answer
While in the shirshasana pose, there is no need to hold breath. Breathe normally.
Initially hold the asana for a few seconds. If you feel comfortable increase the duration gradually to one minute. Only experienced yoga practitioners should try to hold it for up to 3 minutes.
Hope this helps.
Warm regards
Daljit
