Can I do yoga after bath?

Answer

There are people who take bath before yoga practice and some people prefer to do yoga, take rest and then take bath. Follow whatever system is convenient to you.

It is preferable to take bath before yoga. Try to get up early in the morning, try to clear your bowels, take bath and then do yoga. Our body works for the elimination of waste products in the night and it is better to get rid of the toxins after waking up.

Pores on our skin are passages for perspiration and absorption. Our body eliminates sweat and other impurities through these pores and allows penetration of air, water or oil through them. Antiperspirants, pollution, synthetic clothing and lack of exercise may lead to clogged skin pores inhibiting the flow of sweat.

By taking bath pores of the skin are cleaned and hence bathing once a day is considered essential to maintain good health. Cleanliness and good hygiene are essential for yoga practice.

Hope this helps
