Breathing On The Run

by Anonymous

I made a simple change which really helped. I found that just by focusing my attention on my abdomen and making sure that I was breathing abdominally (as opposed to having been very chest heavy on my breathing before), I was more relaxed, could go further and didn't feel so out of breath.

I am really going to make an effort to incorporate other breathing/pranayama techniques as well. The more I read about other runners' positive experiences with this the more interested it's all becoming.

Hello Friend

Thanks for sharing your experience. Yoga practice especially deep breathing and alom vilom pranayama will make your breath deeper and increase your lung capacity over a period of time. Being aware of your breathing while running will also help.

All the best..
Warm regards
Daljit
