Yoga At 60 Years

I had back pain and cold allergy for ten years. Doctors were prescribing medicines only. But nobody was ready to tell how to prevent them. At the age of 60 years, I have started yoga and find that within four weeks pain and allergy completely stopped. It is so wonderful. No medicine,but complete relief.

PURE VEG FOOD IS IMPORTANT FOR ALL YOGA PEOPLE

IN MY OPINION PURE VEGETERIAN FOOD IS IMPORTANT FACTOR FOR ALL YOGA PEOPLE AGE IS NOT A FACTOR.I THINK 'SAATVIK AAHAAR' will HAVE ITS EFFECT INDIRECTLY ON PRANAYAMA AND YOGASANS, ITS BETTER TO TAKE SAATVIK AAHHAR.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experiences in detail.

Your experience shows that dedicated practice of yoga can bring magical results.

We have to choose a yoga path, get convinced and follow meticulously.

You have brought the most important issue of listening to the body. With practice, we can listen to our body to make better choices in terms of eating, sleeping, taking rest etc. Do whatever is good for the body i.e proper exercise, healthy diet and proper relaxation. Avoid whatever is bad for the body i.e over eating, eating junk food, all negative emotions, lack of exercice, lack of rest and proper sleep.

Yoga At 60 For Retired Good Life

I am doing my yoga at morning 5 AM because the surrounding is calm and the atmosphere is cool and pleasant. The yoga was taught by yoga Dr.Arunkumar,PSG hospital Coimbatore.

Simple asanas for stomach,hip,leg and hands,breathing execrises. I do not know what method Dr. is adopting( i think hatha yoga suitable for old age.)

After asanas I am doing shavasana for relaxing. Then I do pranayma inhaling from one nose and releasing from another nose alternately.

After completing yoga I am doing kriya yoga,Isha Kriya as taught by Isha Yoga Ashram.

Now I am doing yoga in the evening at 5 PM also to relax my body for good night sleep.

The diet method what I am following is very simple. I eat what my stomach accepts. Listen carefully what your body is saying and it will create miracles.

We must take extra care to hear the body language.

Before starting yoga I have changed my food habits. I stopped Non vegetarian items and snacks. My stomach problem vanished. This is useful for doing yoga.
