Working In Shifts : Right Time For Yoga
I am 30 years old lady working in a hospital in UAE. We have 3 shift changing weekly:
7:00 A.M - 3:00 P.M,
3:00 P.M - 11:00 P.M
11:00 P.M - 7:00 A.M
I am confused how to schedule my yoga diet, yoga time and sleeping pattern. Please give me some suggestion.
1. You can schedule your yoga practice as per your shift. Here is my suggestion.
~ Shift Timing 7:00 A.M - 3:00 P.M : Do yoga in the evening say around 6:00 P.M. Sleep early latest by 10:00 P.M.
~ Shift Timing 3:00 P.M - 11:00 P.M : Do yoga in the Morning say around 8:00 A.M. In the evening, sleep after completing your duty.
~ Shift Timing 11:00 P.M - 7:00 A.M : Do yoga in the evening, say around 6:00 P.M. Sleep after completing your shift duty.
2. Take care to sleep 7-8 hours a day in order to get adequate rest. For doing yoga in the morning, do yoga empty stomach. If required to eat something before yoga, you can take lime juice with honey immediately after getting up. Avoid tea or coffee.
3. When you are doing yoga in the evening, finish your meals by 3:00 P.M. Do not eat anything after that. A cup of tea, fresh fruit juice or a fruit can be eaten by 4:30 PM if you feel the requirement.
4. Eat as per yogic diet principles. If you do not feel hungry during meal timings, avoid eating or eat less.
