Pranayam in office stair area?
I work in a 15 floor building. There is a small enclosed area where there are stairs. Is it okay to do Pranayama there?
It is recommended to do pranayama after asana practice outdoors or well ventilated room in the morning or evening. In case you do not find time at home, you can try pranayama at office.
For doing pranyama remember all the guidelines and precautions. Pranayama is done on empty stomach. The area where you do pranayama should be well ventilated. If the enclosed area near the stairs is neat and clean and well ventilated you can do pranayama.
You can either use your yoga mat and sit on the floor or alternatively you can sit on a chair and do pranayama. Start your session with gentle stretching and end the pranayama session with shavasana.
It is recommended that do not do pranayama in a hurry like completing a office task. Do as many rounds as you can do comfortably in the spare time available to you. Doing pranayama should be a relaxing experience.
