Pain Relief For Running

by George A. Baptista

Learning to do the one legged Pigeon Pose got rid of chronic pain near the rear of my right pelvic area. None of the other pose seemed to be effective. Apparently, it is a great hip opener and most importantly, it stretches the piriformis muscles. As a result, running is less painful and more efficient.

I do it almost every day after running. I do some warm up poses prior to the Pigeon, and stay in it for 90 seconds or longer.
