Mitral Valve Prolapse and Pranayama?

I am suffering from a heart valves condition called "Mitral valve prolapse" in which heat valves are loose and work incorrectly. Also i am having Marfan's syndrome. Can i do pranayama breathing exercises?

Answer

You need to learn pranayama and meditation under guidance. In your case, seek guidance of an experienced yoga therapist.

You can do rhythmic breathing with breath awareness and also practice yoga nidra.
